General Information for independent study at Belleview Christian College

Belleview Christian College has been located "on the hill" north of Denver since 1920.
Although its doctrinal perspective is Wesleyan/Arminian (conservative Christian holiness), the college admits students without regard to creed, subject to their willingness to maintain Christian standards of conduct during their course of study at Belleview.

The courses offered by Belleview have been accepted for transfer to numerous institutions including the University of Colorado, Regis University, and the University of Utah, to name a few.

These courses may be begun at any time.  Students registered for these courses work independently, but meet
with an instructor for orientation and afterwards as needed. When for reasons of distance or otherwise a student is unable to come onto campus to meet with the instructor, most courses can be completed entirely by mail.

An independent study course is based on a syllabus, which will specify the work to be done, and the number and type of assignments to be handed in, for credit to be assigned.  Courses require a proctored final exam, an oral final with the instructor, or equivalent verification.
