It is our desire that our time together will be practical and productive for the ministry of the Pillar of Fire as well as inspirational and challenging for each individual. We have established this year’s theme, Celebrating the Past, Shaping the Future, as a recognition of God’s faithfulness to the Pillar of Fire through the years and the wonderful calling He has given us as we look toward the new millenium. We echo the words of David’s Psalm,
 

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon his name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!…Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!…Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders and the judgments of His mouth…Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! (1 Chronicles 16:8,10,12,29)As we gather to celebrate the Lord’s faithfulness together we also reach forward to those things which are ahead…and press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:13-14).
